Young Shig Oh, L.Ac., M.S.
Young Shig Oh is a Licensed Acupuncturist with a deep commitment to patient-centered care and over two decades of clinical experience. He earned his Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture from Samra University in California and holds a bachelor’s degree from Wonkwang University in South Korea. His approach combines attentive listening, personalized treatment plans, and a dedication to helping patients achieve lasting wellness.
Throughout his 22+ years in practice, Young has provided customized acupuncture treatments to individuals from all walks of life. From 2009 to 2013, he was part of the medical staff at Orange Coast Memorial Medical Center, where he worked closely with a team of healthcare professionals to integrate acupuncture into comprehensive patient care. He also contributed his expertise to the Special Physical Education Adapted Activities Class at Orange Coast College (2008–2012), supporting patients recovering from strokes, multiple sclerosis, and physical trauma.
Young has a strong commitment to community service. Since 2013, he has volunteered with the Korean American Senior Association of San Diego County, offering acupuncture treatments and wellness education to support the health of local seniors.
With a firm belief in the healing potential of traditional acupuncture, acupressure, and herbal therapies, Young strives to restore balance and vitality to the body, mind, and spirit. His work is guided by compassion, dedication, and a genuine concern for each patient’s well-being.
Outside of his clinical work, Young enjoys exploring new places, trying diverse cuisines, and spending quality time with his family. He is also passionate about reading and staying active through hiking and tennis.
